Enabling BI Report Downloads

Some Integrators where documented require a profile option to be created to use its associated download, this is due to the absence of a suitable Oracle Webservice.

Our BI Report downloads do respect some but not all security configurations of Oracle. Therefore, a profile must be created and configured at the User level only for the download to function.

Each BI Report Download has its own corresponding profile option and can be found in the associated product user guide for the exact values. To enable BI Report downloads, follow the steps below for each Integrator you want to restrict.

1.    Navigate to ‘Setup and Maintenance’ from the Oracle Homepage.
2.    Search for and select the ‘Manage Profile Options’ task.
3.    Click the + under the Profile Options section.
4.    Provide the documented profile option Code, Display Name, along with an Application/Module and Start Date.

5.    Click ‘Save and Close
6.    Under the ‘Profile Option Levels’ section click the check boxes, ‘Enabled’ and ‘Updatable’ for User only, do not enable this profile at the Site level.

7.    Click ‘Save and Close’
8.    Navigate back to ‘Setup and Maintenance’.
9.    Search for and select the ‘Manage Profile Categories’ task.
10.  Search for the Category Code: ‘ORA_FND_AUTH_REST_ACCESS’
11.  Click the + under the Profile Options section.

12.  Search/Select your profile option from the now visible list of values. Note the Display Sequence can be left as ‘0’.
