Case Scenario: Clear data using [BLANK]
Now I will remove the branch number from SSTEST BRANCH as it is no longer required.
Existing Branch: SSTEST BRANCH-10
Existing Branch Name: SSTEST BRANCH
Existing Branch Number: 10
New Branch Number: null
Enter [BLANK] In the ‘New Branch Number’ field:
Important: The only way to remove existing database values is to use the [BLANK] syntax. Leaving cells in the worksheet empty will not remove database values. Do not use spaces either as these will overwrite database values with ‘ ‘ values causing potential EBS forms issues.
Now I upload – and then download again to see the data.
Uploaded line is now shaded green – and the freshly downloaded data no longer has the branch number included.
The [BLANK] functionality may be used on any fields except for end dates.
