Case Scenario: Changing Accounts between Branches
We need to move an account number to a different branch in the same bank. In this example, Bank Account Number 987654321 (Bank Account ID: 4699) is to be moved from SSTEST BRANCH1 to SSTEST BRANCH:
Important: To move a Bank Account and its associated assignment information and/or intermediary accounts to a different branch, the current ‘BANK Account ID’ value MUST be on the row being uploaded. If this value is missing, a new Bank Account will be created without the expected assignment and/or intermediary account information and the old Bank Account will remain on the old branch with its associated records.
Note – when “moving” an Account from one branch to another the assignment information and/or intermediary accounts do not need to be on the worksheet. These will be transferred as well, notwithstanding the above.

Step 1 Download the existing Bank, Branch, and Account Information into the worksheet.
Account 987654321 (4699) is currently against branch SSTEST BRANCH1.
Step 2 Insert a new blank worksheet row above the SSTEST BRANCH1 row. This will now be a child row of the SSTEST BRANCH record where we want to move the Account to.
Step 3 Copy the ‘Bank Account ID’, ‘Bank Account Country’, and ‘Bank Account Number’ values into the new blank row.
Step 4 Use the ‘Upload Selected’ option on the new row containing the bank account information.
