Formula Detail User Form

To create a new formula, you enter header information (organization, formula name, version, owner, etc.), which applies to the entire formula on the Formulas form.

Fields marked with a yellow background are mandatory fields. For each record uploading through the loader mandatory fields are required to fill in the values.
Greyed-out fields are read only. Those fields contain supplementary details for the user information purpose. These values do not upload during the uploading process.
Organization - Specify the organization for which the formula will be effective. This record is mandatory.

Formula - Enter the code for the formula you are creating or updating.  Required.

Description - Simple description field for the formula. This description is displayed on lookups, when a new formula is being made the description becomes a free type field.  Required.

Comments - Enter any comments associated with the formula/version.  These appear on this form only.

Version - Enter the formula’s version number. A formula is uniquely identified by the combination of formula code and version number.  Required.

Status - This field is available for update. Values available for this field are as follows:

New
Approved for Laboratory
Approved for General Use
Obsolete/Archived

Class - If you have set up formula classes and you want to associate this formula with a formula class, enter the code for the formula class. Classes are used for reporting purposes.

Scaling Allowed - Specify whether a batch can be scaled after it is initially created.  The formula’s effectivity record dictates the initial scale parameters.  Scaling is the proportional increase or decrease of ingredient and product quantities.  Select the check box if you want to allow scaling.  Required.

Packaging - When setting up a packaging formula, select this field in the formula header.  This enables the user to enter the packaged item itself in the products section.

Calculate Product Quantity - Indicates the formula automatically calculates the quantity for products with the Proportional scale type.  This is a display only field and on upload specifies No, this is because it is currently not supported through the Oracle API.
